Dinosaur Jr. Bug Live DVD Available for Pre-Order
Through an online contest, six fans were selected to film Dinosaur Jr. performing Bug in its entirety at the 930 Club in Washington, DC in June 2011. Under the awesome direction of Dave Markey (The Year Punk Broke), "In the Hands of the Fans" brings the fans closer to the band and the music closer to you. The show will be released on February 21, 2012, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon in both DVD & Blu-Ray formats.
New Webstore and New Merchandise
New items have been added to the Dinosaur Jr. merch store, and there are more soon to come. There are a limited number of Cassette Trilogy Box Sets left, available only through the online store, and new items like the "Dinosaur Jr. Jr." baby onesie. Also recently available, Dinosaur Jr. canvas hi-tops from Sole Music.
Dinosaur Jr. Featured on Young Adult Soundtrack
The soundtrack for the new movie Young Adult starring Charlize Theron and Patton Oswalt includes Dinosaur Jr.'s "Feel The Pain". The album will be released Dec. 6th but you can pre-order through Amazon HERE.
Cassette Trilogy Box Set Released via Joyful Noise
Sold as a 3-album custom wooden box set, the cassette trilogy includes Dinosaur Jr.'s first three albums: 1985's Dinosaur, 1987's You're Living All Over Me and 1988's Bug. Limited to a one-time release of 500 hand-numbered copies, the Dinosaur Jr. cassette Trilogy is packaged in a custom built screen printed wooden box featuring the classic "monster" artwork. The individual cassettes are manufactured on high quality chrome tape with purple, black and white shells. Each are individually wrapped with 8 panel original artwork. Click HERE for more info.
More US Bug Shows Announced
Dinosaur Jr. will play the Bug album in its entirety at shows along the west coast in December. Henry Rollins will interview the band live at each show, with Pierced Arrows supporting on many dates and special guests Scratch Acid in Portland. Pre-sale tickets are on sale HERE now. First Three Dinosaur Jr. Albums to be Reissued on Vinyl October 4
Jagjaguwar will reissue the band's first three albums on vinyl, Dinosaur, You’re Living All Over Me and Bug, on October 4th, 2011. Originally released on Homestead and SST labels in the 1980’s, the reissues stay true to form and include the cardinal track lists.
"Bug" Re-release on Cassette via Joyful Noise
Slated for release on June 21, the cassette reissue coincides with the band's US/European tour in which "Bug" will be performed in its entirety. Originally released in 1988 via SST, this is the first ever reissue of a Dinosaur Jr. album on its original cassette format. The "Bug" cassette is limited to only 250 hand-numbered copies, on high-quality purple tapes, with 8-panel original artwork. The release sold out in pre-sales in one day but a limited number will also be available at upcoming shows while supplies last.

The Dinosaur Jr. songs "The Wagon" and "Pick Me Up" are now available for download in the Rock Band music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. "Feel The Pain" was also included in Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour.
